MUM 2 MUM™ was created in 2004 by two Mums, Jo Bond and Jo Keall. The two of us met at Parent Centre antenatal classes. Like many antenatal classes ours grew into a coffee group and it was here that the two of us formed a bond and great friendship. So now we would like to share our story with you all……..

After having our first children and experiencing all the joys of parenthood (not to mention reflux, dribbly babies and ezcema) we were inspired to create products that would help new parents ease into life with their new baby. Our motivation came from the overwhelming, tiring and frustrating experiences we had finding good quality baby products in our local baby market. Being research queens we sifted through tons of books, spent hundreds of hours on the internet and made frequent trips to the shops and soon realised that there was a need for quality affordable baby products and it was so overdue. So we decided to pool our 10 years experience in the corporate world to create our own company Mum 2 Mum and design our own products.

Our aim and passion now as Mum 2 Mum is to produce quality baby products that make life easier for parents everywhere. So far our products include the Wonder Bib® range, Hooded Towels, Burp Cloths and Play n’ Change Mats.

The Wonder Bib is our signature product and was created as the first super-absorbent babies bib that really does work! This is a bib that keeps babies, infants and toddlers dry in any situation - reflux, spilling, dribbling, bottle feeding, and eating.

Our Wonder Bib lives up to its name and will keep little ones clean, dry and protected. We understand that parenthood is a constant learning curve and the vast array of product choices that we are faced with today is often overwhelming and as parents by making educated choices during this period can be tuff. We hope with all the work, energy and passion that we have put into designing and creating quality baby products this is one choice we have made easy for you.

As Mum 2 Mum continues to grow our aim is to continue providing quality products with great service that simply help make life easier for other parents just like us.

How the Wonderbib made its way to South Africa...

When you have your first baby you think you are ready for everything. But when reading about babies you just hope your child does not suffer from any kind of illness. When our son was 6 weeks old we had a tough time, what we thought was a mild case of colic ended up in him having severe reflux. We went through sets and sets of clothing daily as a result of the reflux, searched for bibs that can actually keep him dry, we used what we could find, but eventually used more bibs a day than nappies. A family friend visited South Africa  and brought both of the babies in the family a souvenir from New Zealand... the wonderbib with the New Zealand silver feather engraved on it. I was most impressed with this bib, the quality, the feel and most of all the ability to keep my son dry.

After searching everywhere in SA for something similar and found nothing, I checked on the Mum 2 Mum website for distributors in SA, but there were none. I filled in an online order form but the price to get the bibs here were ridiculous, and that was the day that I took a chance and emailed Jo and Jo in New Zealand to find out if they are not looking for a Distributor in South Africa.

After a long wait and numerous questions answered, I got the phone call early May 2008 to say that they would like me to be their sole distributor in South Africa.

As Jo and Jo mentioned above, this is a wonderful product and I myself as a mother can promise you that you’ll find nothing better! I use the product in my own home and I’m proud to be a Wonder Bib mommy!
